On the 14th of April 2021, the Information and Communication Technologies Authority published a consultation paper on proposed amendments to the ICT Act in order to regulate social media in Mauritius.

I read with dismay the proposed amendments to "ICT Act for regulating the use and addressing the abuse and misuse of Social Media in Mauritius". The report was published as a PDF on the 14th of April 2021 while Mauritius was amidst it’s second COVID19 lockdown.
