#ICTA : Proposed amendments threaten #Mauritius ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ

The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) published a Consultation Paper on 14 April 2021 which contains proposals to amend the ICT Act.

ICTA proposes legal frameworks and a set of tools to decrypt incoming & outgoing secure Internet traffic for inspection purposes. The public has been invited to comment on the Consultation Paper and to submit their comments by email by latest 20 May 2021 at 4.00 p.m.

We have produced video explainers in three languages to help people quickly grasp what's defined in the 24 pages of ICTA's proposal.

We URGE all Mauritians to send theirs comments to socialmediaconsultation@icta.mu before 4.00 p.m on Thursday 20th of May 2021 to explain how the proposed amendments will affect our liberties!

Please watch & share.
